Lima Hossain is a Senior Policy Analyst at the Initiative for Energy Justice, where she analyzes emerging clean energy policies and translates complex issues into actionable recommendations for policymakers and advocates. Lima brings over 5 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative research on clean energy programs, policies, and climate change impacts to her role at IEJ. Specializing in spatial analysis and GIS mapping, Lima’s work provides crucial insights for improving energy programs in underserved communities. Prior to IEJ, she was an Associate on the Research & Evaluation team at Cadeo, where she developed interactive dashboards, led energy efficiency studies, and conducted community benefits targeting analyses. She also spearheaded an internal cultural competency initiative, creating an Energy Equity Readers group to elevate diversity and equity considerations in energy projects. Lima holds an M.S. in Applied Economics with a concentration in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from Oregon State University and a B.A. in Mathematics-Economics from Ithaca College. She is a member of the Association of Energy Services Professionals and a recipient of their Diverse and Emerging Professionals Scholarship. Lima currently resides in San Diego, CA.
