Shiva Prakash (she/her)
Co-Founder & Senior Counsel, DoorDash

Shiva brings wide-ranging experience as an attorney working in regulatory, compliance, litigation, and transactional practices and a background in policy and technology development in the clean energy sector. She is currently Senior Counsel at DoorDash. Previously, she served as Senior Legal Counsel for Lime, an electric vehicle micromobility company, allows her to support the expansion of shared, affordable, and carbon-free transportation options for users across the globe. Shiva also served as Assistant Corporation Counsel in the New York City Law Department’s Environmental Law Division where she represented the City of New York in litigation and regulatory matters relating to environmental and land use law. Prior to joining the Law Department, she completed an Equal Justice Works fellowship at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest where she developed the Community Energy Project, which sought to address the legal barriers to deployment of renewable energy projects and other climate solutions throughout New York City and State. In 2018, she co-founded the Initiative for Energy Justice, currently housed at Northeastern University, that conducts research, develop tools, and issues reports related to equitable access to clean energy. Prior to her legal career, Shiva worked at New Ecology Inc., a Boston-based non-profit, where she was a project manager on affordable and public housing projects incorporating energy efficiency and renewable energy systems. Shiva received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law where she was a Public Interest Law Scholar, a Master’s in City Planning (MCP) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a B.S. in Economics also from MIT. She is based in Austin, Texas where she enjoys exploring the outdoors and great local food with her husband and two daughters.
