The implementation of 100% renewable energy policies at the state and local level has begun across the country. These policies are a powerful tool at our disposal in the fight for a just transition—but only if they are done right. This report offers an overview of the existing resources that can help to inform the development of systems of accountability regarding equity in 100% renewable energy policy implementation by proposing measurable outcomes and actions for which utilities can be held accountable. The resources provided are meant to provide a flexible basis from which to expand systems of accountability regarding equity goals in the implementation of 100% renewable energy (or 100% clean energy) policy.
